Everything You Need to Do to Celebrate Oktoberfest in NYC

So you probably don’t have the funds to fly to Munich, but that’s OK! There are still plenty of ways to commemorate the annual German beer bonanza known as Oktoberfest right here in New York (with many events running for a full six weeks… so, prepare your liver). Strap on your lederhosen, prepare for brats, and start drinking. Oktoberfest actually begins in September, in case you didn’t know.

Watermark Bar to Host Oktoberfest

Merchants Hospitality will be transforming Watermark Bar on Pier 15 into the most authentic Oktoberfest in New York City for three consecutive weekends, from Sept. 17 through Oct. 2.

Guests can reserve their spot for free, in advance, and purchase food and beverage tickets at ticket stations at the Pier during the event. The price of everything on Watermark Bar’s menu will be $8, including the beer with one-liter Steins at $16. Two-hour unlimited beer tastings — including food — are available on Saturdays and Sundays between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM and also between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM.

Games such as giant beer pong, ping-pong, cornhole, and traditional Stein-holding competitions will be available, as well as family-friendly activities including face-painting!
